We firmly believe that your data is yours. Adima AI operates completely offline. We do not use cloud processing, remote servers, or internet connectivity to process your images. Your files never leave your device, guaranteeing absolute privacy and zero risk of data leaks.

5. Installation
Requirements: Windows 10/11 (64-bit), minimum 8GB RAM (16GB recommended), DirectX 12 compatible GPU recommended for hardware acceleration.
- Download the official installer from the Adima AI website.
- Run the installer executable (
.exe) and follow the on-screen prompts. - Storage Requirements: Ensure at least 2GB of free disk space for the installation and downloaded AI models.
- First Launch: Upon launching, Adima AI will perform an automatic GPU detection. If a compatible GPU is found, hardware acceleration is enabled by default.
If your system lacks a dedicated GPU, Adima AI will seamlessly fallback to CPU rendering. Upscaling will still work locally, but processing times will be significantly longer.
- Navigate to the Google Play Store and search for "Adima AI Photo Enhancer".
- Tap Install.
- Permissions: Upon first launch, the app will request Storage/Gallery access. This is strictly required to read your local photos and save the enhanced results back to your device.
- Since processing is local, no internet connection is required after the app is installed.
6. Quick Start
Get up and running with Adima AI in just a few clicks.
Select the AI Upscaling Factor (4×, 16×)
Enable or disable Batch Upscaling. Used to upscale multiple images at once.
Choose the Output Folder. Select where enhanced images will be saved.
Enable Compress Image. Compresses the final enhanced image to reduce file size.
Enable Face Boost. Recommended for images containing faces to improve facial detail.
Import images. Choose either: Select Image or Select Folder
Choose the output format. Supported formats: PNG, JPEG, WEBP, TIFF, BMP, HDR (.hdr)
Click the Upscale button. The selected images will be processed locally on your computer.
Select an image.
Tap the image and choose an AI model.
Tap Upscale.
After processing, use the built-in editing tools. Available tools include: Compare, Edit, Stickers, Filters, Transform
Save the final image as: PNG, JPEG, PDF
8. Editing Tools
The Android version of Adima AI includes a comprehensive suite of post-upscale editing tools.
Purpose: Adjust the framing and orientation of your photo.
Usage: Select standard aspect ratios (1:1, 16:9, 4:3) for social media, or use free-form cropping. Tap the rotate icon to turn 90 degrees, or flip horizontally/vertically.
Recommendation: Always crop after upscaling to retain maximum detail in the cropped area.
Purpose: Fine-tune the lighting and color balance.
Usage: Use the precise sliders for Brightness, Contrast, and Saturation.
Recommendation: If an older photo looks washed out after restoration, slightly increase contrast and saturation to bring back the original vibrancy.
Purpose: Add creative flair to your images.
Usage: Tap a filter preset to instantly change the mood of the photo. Open the sticker menu to drag, drop, scale, and rotate fun assets onto the canvas.

Because Adima AI runs 100% offline, its performance is directly tied to your device's hardware capabilities.
CPU vs GPU Processing
Adima AI utilizes hardware acceleration. If a dedicated GPU (e.g., NVIDIA, AMD, or high-end integrated graphics) is present, the software will leverage it to process neural networks exponentially faster than a CPU.
RAM Usage
Upscaling an image to 16K requires significant memory overhead to hold the massive pixel array in memory before writing it to disk. Ensure you close other memory-intensive applications when batch processing large files.
Processing Speed
- Small to Medium (up to 4K output): A few seconds on a modern GPU.
- Large (up to 8K output): 10-30 seconds depending on the complexity of the AI model.
- Ultra Large (up to 16K output): Can take several minutes. Progress will be displayed accurately in the UI.

For Windows users on laptops, ensure the laptop is plugged into power and set to "High Performance" mode to prevent thermal throttling.

Adima AI is built from the ground up with a privacy-first architecture.
All AI Runs Locally
Unlike other AI services that require you to upload your personal photos to a cloud server, Adima AI downloads the neural network models directly to your device. When you hit "Enhance", the mathematics happen entirely on your own silicon.
Images Never Leave Your Device
Your photos remain on your hard drive or mobile storage at all times. We do not have servers to process images, meaning a data breach involving your private photos is technically impossible.
No Remote Image Storage
We do not store, view, or analyze the images you process. You retain full 100% copyright and ownership of both your original images and the upscaled outputs.
12. Troubleshooting
Ensure you are running a 64-bit version of Windows 10 or 11. Run the installer as Administrator. Temporarily disable strict antivirus software that may incorrectly flag the AI models as unknown binaries.
If Adima AI falls back to CPU processing, it means a compatible GPU was not detected. Ensure your graphics drivers (NVIDIA/AMD) are fully updated. In Windows Graphics Settings, explicitly set Adima AI to use "High Performance".
Upscaling a large image to 16K requires massive amounts of RAM and VRAM. Try closing background applications, web browsers, or reduce the upscale factor to 8K.
Go to your phone's Settings > Apps > Adima AI > Permissions and ensure "Storage" or "Photos and Videos" is allowed.
13. Tips & Best Practices
Choosing the Right AI Model
- Portraits: Use the "Portrait Face Boost" model to synthesize realistic skin and eye details. Do not use this model on landscapes, as it may hallucinate faces in textures.
- Anime & Cartoons: The "Anime" model is specifically trained on 2D lines. Using the General model on anime may make it look overly soft or blurry.
Handling Old or Damaged Photos
For heavily compressed or scratched photos, first use the General model. If the output is too smooth, mix it with a slight grain or noise overlay in your preferred photo editor to bring back a natural, vintage feel.
Compression and Export Quality
When saving massive 16K images, consider using WEBP or high-quality JPG instead of PNG. A 16K PNG can exceed 500MB, whereas a WEBP might retain identical visual fidelity at just 40MB.

18. Known Limitations
While our offline AI models are powerful, there are some physical and software constraints to be aware of.
- Extreme Blurriness: If a photo contains zero structural data (e.g., heavily out of focus lens blur), the AI cannot magically reconstruct what was never captured by the camera sensor.
- Text Reconstruction: Small, unreadable text in the original image may occasionally be upscaled into illegible, "alien-looking" characters, as the AI tries to guess the font shapes.
- Maximum Output Size: Windows is hard-capped at 16K resolution (15360 x 8640) to prevent OS-level memory crashes. Android is capped at 4K/8K depending on the device's RAM.
